ASME PD Collegiate Council

The Collegiate Council was established in 2003 as an initiative to get college students involved in the future of ASME-Petroleum Division (PD). PD through its resources of information and member- volunteers, organizes and conducts technical conferences and workshops, fosters continued growth of engineering education, offers technical fellowship, promotes petroleum mechanical engineering as a career choice, and provides career development activities for engineers. The Collegiate Council consists of 14 students from universities in North America and Mexico. As members of the Collegiate Council, students are able to learn more about the Oil and Gas industry, network with professionals, and interact with other students who share similar interests.

Add your email to the council's                                and receive updates on the ASME PD CC membership and scholarships.

Our Mission

The Collegiate Council’s Mission is to introduce college students to engineering opportunities in the industries that ASME represents. Our goal is to educate them on the importance of networking, business methods, and teamwork, further bridging the gap between the college student and the professional engineer.

The vision of the Collegiate Council initiative is to further develop and grow the program that has proven its value within the Petroleum Division. This growth will be a result of duplicating the program within other ASME divisions, sectors, etc.
